CAIS
Deadline Extensions for the 2004 Program Year
Program deadlines for submitting 2004 CAIS program forms have been extended.
Producers now have until November 30, 2005 to submit their CAIS Supplementary
Forms.
To be eligible for CAIS benefits, producers must:
• have already selected their level of protection for 200
• file a Statement of Farming Activities
• (T1163 or the equivalent Corporate forms)
• complete the CAIS Supplementary forms by the November 30 deadline.
Producers will receive a letter in mid-October telling them what forms
they must submit in order to be eligible for a 2004 benefit. The forms
are available on the CAIS Web site under Publications and Forms at www.agr.gc.ca/caisprogram.
The announcement applies only in provinces where CAIS is delivered federally:
British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia,
Newfoundland and Labrador and the Yukon Territory. Producers in other
provinces should contact their provincial CAIS Administration.
The CAIS program helps producers protect their farm income from both small
and large income declines. For more information, producers can contact
the CAIS Administration toll free at 1-866-367-8506 or visit the program
Web site at www.agr.gc.ca/caisprogram.
